An unprecedented demonstrator featured at Medi’Nov Connection from May 31 to June 1, 2023

Laser texturing is performed using a femtosecond laser. It enables the functionalisation of implantable surfaces, giving them antibacterial properties while preserving the bulk material. This technology allows 3D and selective surface treatment to prevent bacterial biofilm formation and infections.

Carnot MICA provides its expertise on the process and on the qualification of the expected properties.
